voter awareness campaign failed to make impact on Dr.Manmohan Singh, Prim Minister of India, as he did not cast vote here. What do you expect from general public? Though he later on said that he has casted vote throuh Postal Ballot, he had to give the explanation due to report in the media fearing criticism- one feel.

Cencus 2011 : Indian population increased by 181 million

India now has a population of 1.21 billion according to the latest Census figures released by the Home Secretary and the Registrar General of India on Thursday. This is an increase of 181 million people since the last Census - nearly equivalent to the population of Brazil. ULFA calls statewide Assam bandh on Monday

ULFA's anti-talk faction calls a 24 hour statewide Assam bandh in protest against Prime Minister DR Monmohan Singh's visit to campaign in Assam for the Assembly polls.
