CPIM general secretary Prakash Karat says that his party would raise the multi crore scam in NC Hills of Assam in parliament. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, Karat said siphonning off money meant for poor people is a grave and an unpardonable crime and that the guilty persons deserve punishment. Karat along with top party leaders held a brainstorming meet to formulate strategy for the upcoming assembly polls in Assam.

There is no positive outcome in the district after scam issue and all the political leaders are busy in making an image for the upcoming election with the in the name of scam issue.
The district name should be totally named as DIMA HASAO in every article as suggested...as it is officially accepted in the gazzated offices in the state.

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has asked Chief Secretary PC Sarma to probe into the matter as to why Assam tableaux is not being put in this year’s Republic Day function in New Delhi and submit the report forthwith. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi has asked the Chief Secretary to set up a one-man inquiry committee headed by Principal Secretary PK Choudhury to probe into the reasons for the rise in incidents of poaching at the KNP and to make recommendations for prevention of such incidents in future as well as measures for effective protection of the park.
