CPIM general secretary Prakash Karat says that his party would raise the multi crore scam in NC Hills of Assam in parliament. Addressing a press conference in Guwahati on Monday, Karat said siphonning off money meant for poor people is a grave and an unpardonable crime and that the guilty persons deserve punishment. Karat along with top party leaders held a brainstorming meet to formulate strategy for the upcoming assembly polls in Assam.

There is no positive outcome in the district after scam issue and all the political leaders are busy in making an image for the upcoming election with the in the name of scam issue.
The district name should be totally named as DIMA HASAO in every article as suggested...as it is officially accepted in the gazzated offices in the state.

Assam’s overall flood situation in its north district of Lakhimpur is improving but both the Lakhimpur and Dhemaji districts are remaining cut-off on Sunday. The court of R K Jain in Delhi court on Saturday rejected the bail petitions of sacked education minister Ripun Bora and two of his associates and extended their judicial remand by July 5. Before that Bora, his aides Ramesh Maheswari and Mukul Pathak were produced before the court and after hearing the arguments, the court rejected their bail petitions. In a daring high profile strike, a group of rebels have kidnapped former Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Gegong Apang's youngest son Getam Apang on Wednesday night from Itanagar. The rebels have already talked to Getam's family members. The enitre incident was kept in dark and later it's spreading like wildfire in and around the capital town of the north eastern state.
