Guwahati: Karimganj police on Sunday rescued an abducted rubber garden manager Rabindra Sinha from Shivbari hillock in Duhaliya locality in Karimganj district. Sinha was kidnapped on gunpoint from his quarter in Narayanpur area under Patharkandi constituency in Barak valley on August 22. He is also a cousin brother of Patharkandi MLA Kartiksena Sinha. After getting specific information about his and his kidnappers presence in Shivbari area police team cordoned the area and started search operation from early morning. Operation forced kidnappers to flee, leaving Sinha in the forest. Soon police rescued Sinha, who was very ill at that time due to psychological and physical pressure on him was immediately admitted into local Hospital.
