The process to hold talks between ULFA and the government seems to have reached a crucial point when the outfit's top leader Bhimakanta Buragohain was released on bail on Sunday. Buragohain, popularly known as Mama left the Guwahati Central jail in the morning more than a month after he procured bail from the local court in Tezpur. Talking to reporters and his well wishers in from of the jail campus he said the process for holding the much-awaited talks will be more faster if the remaining top leaders are releasesd on bail. The septugenerian ULFA leader was welcomed at Sonapur en route to Sadiya.
Mama was relased on bail a day after the outfit's 709 battalion commnader Hira Sarania promised support to the on going process for talks with the government. Sarania is known to be one of the closed associates of Commander in Chief Paresh Baruah.
