DHD(J) condemned attack on Maorang Dimasa

The Dima Halam Daogah (Joel) strongly condemned the attack on Maorang Dimasa, DHD(J) leader on October 17 while demanding proper security to its leaders and carders immediately.

In a press meet held at the Liaison office of the DHD(J) at Haflong Sri Bele Dimasa, Publicity Secretary, DHD(J) Sri Samson Dimasa and Sri Nalo Dimasa strongly condemned the cowardice attack on their leader. They said they have come to the mainstream laying all the arms to the government for the peace in the district, but irony of the fact that they were being attacked and killed by the enemies. They did not come to be killed in the hands of enemies. They also argued did they surrender their arms to be attacked or killed by the enemies? Government should arrange adequate security for them immediately. They further say if such incidents is continued to repeat they will also not sit tight, they will not compromise. They appealed to all the peace loving citizens of Dima Hasao district tocondemn such attacks on DHD(J). SriMaurang Dimasa, DHD(J) leader was critically injured when unidentified gunmen fired at him near Topodisa village of Haflong at about 5.30 PM today(Sunday). He is shifted to Guwahati for treatment.
