More attack in Charaipung; situation grave

Despite impartial patrolling there seems to be no respite in Charaipung where armed miscreants suspected to be from Arunachal Pradesh set on fire several houses at Ashinbasti on Sunday night. This was done a few hours after Assam police and its counterpart in Arunachal Pradesh began a joint patrolling in the entire trouble torn areas.

The situation at Charaipung takes a grim turn on Friday when superintendent of police Akhilesh Singh had a narrow escape as he was visiting the spot bordering Arunachal Pradesh.
