Though there have been enquiries after enquiries in all most all the departments of Dima Hasao district by the several agencies including National Investigation Agency and CBI but there has been no change in functioning of these departments, rather the officials have become desperate and stay out of station on the plea of such investigations or enquiries.
When this correspondent visited few offices like Superintendent of Sericulture, Additional Director of Sericulture, Assistant Director, Town & Country Planning, Additional Director, Industries, Assistant Executive Engineer, Electrical, Executive Engineer, PWD, Building and Deputy Director of Statistics, it was found no head of these departments was present in the offices and even the office decorum was not at all maintained in the offices not to speak about work culture.
In the office of the Additional Director of Sericulture, one 4rth grade employee was found occupying the seat of Head Assistant giving the information as if he was the head of the institution. Another employee does not know her table where she works.
Perhaps, NIA or CBI will not be able to bring any change in the mind of these people unless these investigating agencies can punish some people in a drastic way.
