Former MLA Kiron Bora passes away

A lifetime congress worker and former MLA of Batadrava constituency of Nagaon Kiron Bora died from old age at his home,located at Haiborgaon in Nagaon town. Kiron Borah who was born at Maj Jajori Village in Nagaon on 1929, started his education at Chakalaghat M.E.School and later did his matriculation from Govt. High School Nagaon. He was graduated from ADP College Nagaon. In his student life, he was district Secretary of Students’ Union. In 1942, he joined Indian freedom movement. Kiron Bora was the first elected general secretary of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee. For his decent personality, everybody loved Bora. Assam Forest & Tourism minister Rockybul Hussain, the president of Nagaon district congress committee Bharat Ch. Bhuyan expressed deep sorrow and grief of demise of Bora. His death was condoled by everyone in Nagaon.
