2 rebels apprehended at NC Hills


In an early morning operation, the Army apprehended two militants from Bara Arkap village in southern Dima Hasao District under Mahur Police Station along with large quantity of arms and ammunition on Thursday.


The militants were identified as Thanga Theak of Haflong and J Lalzarza of Bara Arkap, both belonging to the Hmar Peoples Convention (Democratic) militant group. Reportedly, Theak was the local area commander of the group. The Army authorities also recovered two AK-47, one SLR rifle, three grenades and more than 300 rounds of ammunition from the area. Operations are still on in nearby villages to apprehend the other accomplices of the militants.


The Hmar Peoples Convention (Democratic) militant group is in ceasefire in Manipur and its cadres are restricted to a camp at Ankhasu in Churachandpur district of Manipur. The two cadres were involved in tax collection in the area and also in coordinating move of militants in the district.

I don't think onyone has a right to beat a pregnant woman till she bleads through her ...in any situation no matter what the reason is. Be it a captain, be it a major, be it a president of nation. This is against human right and women right too. There must be a further investigation on this issue. There are millions of terrorits and millions of them has got shot or caught as they are destined to but an innocent pregnant woman should not be hospitalised. Let the so called Captain Adhinak and his authority be punished if India is a democratic country. If they are capable, let them thrash terrorists but no innocent people.
