Naga miscreants threaten ONGC rig at Gelekey
5 armed Naga personnel entered in the ONGC rig at Gelakey in Sivasagar district on May 21 and asked the employees to remove the rig from there as they claimed the land belongs to Nagaland. They also sent a letter to the Managing Director, ONGC Assam Asset through the supervisor of the rig.
When the Boarder Magistrate of Nazira Rajib Thapa came to know about this incident, he visited in spot and sent a letter to Mokokchang DC detailing the incident. Both Sivasagar DC and Mokokchang DCs and ONGC Assam Asset Managing Director are suppose to discuss the matter on May 22.
