The Early Birds, an organization for animal care in the North .Eastern India has vehemently condemned the repeated attempt by the miscreants, mostly the land hungry immigrants to occupy parts of Orang National Park. The Early Birds,congratulated Sushil Doloi, DFO, wild life and his team and also the Darrang district administration for being able to thwart the attempt of the illegal settlers. The early Birds also asked the state government to follow the Orang example and to evict all encroaches from all the Protected Areas of the state which are under the clutches of illegal settlers as follows-Barnadi (4.01 sq km), Amchang (8.49), Nameri (4.00), Sunai-Rupa (85.0) Manash (16.0), Laokhowa (6.20), Burhachapori (7.0), Marat-Langri (12.85), and East Karbi Anglong (97.14 sq km). Early Birds urges the government to start eviction drive in all the above areas without further delay in order to keep the Protected Areas in tact.
