Couple killed in lightning
A newly-wed couple was killed in a lightning strike and a body found in Nagaon districton May 16, officials said. Nagaon SP Nitul Gogoi said, the couple died Sunday when lightning struck their home in village Bokulguri under Kampur PS in Nagaon district. The couple was identified as Chaibur Rahman (26) and Chanara Begum (20).
Meanwhile, a 62 years old women was killed and 100 houses damaged in severe storm which lashed in several areas in Nagaon district, May 15.
On the other hand, a dead body was found at a paddy field near Bherbheri under Rupahi PS in Nagaon district on May 16. The body identified as Md. Ali (55) of Rupahi Laogaon, who missing since last two days, police said. In this incident local police arrest two person as Inos Ali and Abdul Malek, suspect for killing Md. Ali.
