ULFA leader Pradeep Gogoi released from jail

ULFA Vice president Pradeep Gogoi was released from jail a week after he procured bail from a local TADA court.

Gogoi completed his formalities on Thursday and came out of the Guwahati Central Jail on Thursday evening and stayed for the night at Guwahati and on Friday morning left for his home district Sivasagar. On his way to Mautgaon in Sivasagar, the ULFA top leader was accorded a heroic welcome by the people who lined up at the road side from the morning. Talking to reporters in Guwahati immediately after his release, Gogoi hoped that other ULFA leaders would be freed to help them sit together to hold a meaningful talk with the government.
