Rotaract Club of Guwahati Midtown makes Guwahatians proud

Rotaract Club of Guwahati Midtown, which is under the sponsorship of Rotary Club of Gauhati South, won 8 prestigious awards in the Rotaract District Conference and Assembly which was held at Raniganj, West Bengal on January 7-9, this year. Amongst the awards that the club received included Best International Service, Best Club Service, Best New Club and our beloved President Rtr. Mayank Sikaria got the Outstanding Rotaractor of the Year award. The Club also received awards for the Best Banner Display (the topic being Colours of Freedom), 1st Runners-up for the Best Photo Display, our President came 1st in the Plannery Session where he gave a speech on “Unleash the Power Within”, he was also crowned as the Prince of the Conference. This was the first time in almost two decades that any Rotaract Club from Guwahati was representing Guwahati in the conference and thus the awards added more colours to the joy of many Guwahatians. These awards have not only motivated the members but also many new members have already started joining the club.

On November 26, our country witnessed the biggest terrorist attack ever planned on the Indian soil.
