Heavy Downpour in North Lakimpur

Lakhimpur : There has been incessant rainfall in North Lakhimpur over the last few days. The heavy downpour has resulted in almost knee deep water in the main areas of the town. Residents of KB road while speaking to Assam times said that this is the highest rainfall over the last few years. Residents stayed indoors looking at the wonderful greenery and the raindrops falling, something which is so characteristic of Assam.

The overall weather in Assam is cloudy with mild rainfall. Residents of Jorhat are still using light woollens and blankets at night.
