The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has asked Assam Governor Syed Sibtey
Razi to quit immediately. But the later is not ready before October.
According to information, it came up after the CBI raids alleged that
Razi's aides misused Governor House to swing the deals.
Former Jharkhand Governor's staff misused the Jharkhand Raj Bhavan
under Razi's watch for allegedly making money in postings and
transfers.
Assam Chief Minister Taerun Gogoi has also told the party high command
that he can't work with Sibtey Razi.
On August 11, the Prime Minister asked Razi to quit the office on
health grounds but Razi insisted on time until October when his
five-year term comes to an end.
