Flood affects 500 villages in Assam

Children from flood affected families take meal at a relief camp in Sivasagar district of on July 12. The flood situation all over the state has been critical since the beginning of July as the water level of the Brahmaputra and its tributaries are still flowing above the danger level. The current wave of flood in the past week has left about 400,000 people displaced in over 500 villages in the four districts of Assam. Two children died in the last 24 hours in the district.
