Powerful bombs recovered in Dhekiajuli

A major incident of blast was averted when Assam Rifles recovered two powerful improvised explosive devises from a bus at Dhekiajuli in Sonitpur district on Wednesday.

According to information, acting on specific inputs, the 44 Assam Rifles personnel recovered the bomb from a private bus coming here from Orang around 11 am. The two explosives were safely defused by the jawans, the sources said. This is the second one case of bomb recovery this week. Earlier on Monday, a major disaster was averted when a powerful bomb kept by suspected ULFA was recovered from a Guwahati-Nalbari private long-distance bus in Nalbari district's Borkura.
