AUDF candidate help AGP BJP alliance candidate in Barpeta constituency

The AUDF candidate will help AGP & BJP alliance candidate at No. 6 Barpeta Loksabha constituency this time. The alliance of AGP & BJP party made the congress uncomfortable, because it has become a threat to the congress candidate - said Barpeta Lok sabha constituency candidate Bhupen Roy, the AGP-BJP alliance, at a press meet here in Barpeta today. He again added that there is a wrong idea among the minority people that if the AGP-BJP come to rule the minority people may be harassed.

In his address, Roy reiterated that his foremost duty is to solve the burning problems of Barpeta constituency such as unemployment, flood, errosion, some of the small industries of Barpeta area, the completion of alternative national highway which was not completed till now. It was the dream of late president Fakharuddin Ali Ahmed. The rehabilitation of the victims of the communal clash in Kokrajhar and Udalguri district will be the important topic after his victory as an MP in this polls.

The situation in and around Bahari in Barpeta continues to remain tense for the consecutive four days even as a BJP called twelve hour Barpeta district bandh on Wednesday. Though the bandh was by and large peaceful, situation in Chenga in the district went almost out of control before noon and police had to fire several rounds of bullets and teargas shells in the air to disperse the bandh supporters.
