Strike for Justice by ABSU

It is really a matter of shame that the culprits who are involved in the rape against two indigenous ladies in the Udalguri district are yet to be arrested. Civil Society organisations in different parts of Assam have demanded for the arrests of the culprits and provide justice to the victims. The central committee of All Bodo Students Union (ABSU) tagged a three hour Dharna in the Dispur Last Gate on 5th December demanding justice to the rape victims. The demands also included providing adequate relives to the victims of clash in Darrang and Udalguri district of Assam. It is really unfortunate that the state government have not taken any serious step for sufficient relieves for the victims of recent clashes in Darrang and Udalguri district. The dharna was attended by Rwn Gwra Narzary, President of ABSU, Dr Sammujjal Bhattacharya, Advisor of All Assam Students Union (AASU), Sankar Prasad Ray, President of AASU apart from other central committee members from both the students organsiation. ABSU has also paid homage to the innocent people who have died in the recent terrorist attack at Mumbai before the dharna. .The members were shouting slogans against the failure of the government in providing justice and security to the people of the state.
