Major blast averted in Rangiya; culprit caught red handed

The people of Rangiya has foiled the bid of a major blast when they caught red handed two bike lifters on Monday. The lifters confessed before the people that they did it to strike a blast.

According to eyewitness, local resident Nasir Ahmed went to Nursery to fetch a news paper after parking the bike. Immediately after it, the youths started lifting it and left the spot. Nasib over his mobile phone informed it to his friends at Rangiya and they caught the youths red handed with the stolen bike.

Both the youths have been rushed to the Guwahati Medical College Hospital after preliminary treatment from at the Rangiya Civil Hospital in view of their deteriorating health.

Police have identified both the youths as Anukh Rabha and Kiran Basumatary from Pakoribari in Tamulpur. This is due to the alertness of the people of Rangiya which has averted a major incident.
