NAMRUP: A sudden phone call a self-styled ULFA(I) rebel to a local journalist struck no less panic in a village in Charaideo district forcing the security forces to step in on Sunday. The caller from 7085896404 who identified himself as an ULFA(I) rebel claimed to have planted three powerful bombs in Pehipukhuri based high voltage power lines which have not exploded. Namrup: A pall of gloom descends in Namrup when Assam agitation leader, noted Social Worker and EX-  BVFCL Fertilizer Union President  Ashim Rajkhowa breathed his last at his own residence in the town on Sunday.He was 69 and died after a brief ailment. He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter. Ashim Rajkhowa  was born and brought up in Golaghat Kamarbondha and joined BVFCL in 1969 and he was elected as the  BVFCL Workers’ Union president and in 2007 he went on retirement .
