Blast: 2 NDFB cadres rushed to Guwahati for interrogation

A special investigation team set up by the Assam police to probe the serial blast on Thursday brought two NDFB cadres to Guwahati after they were picked from the Borbori based camp in Bagsa district on Wednesday.

According to information, police will grill them namely B Sasai and R Charjai in connection with the recent serial blast that took a heavy toll of over 80 people.

Notably, police on Wednesday entered the designated camp after a discussion with the NDFB leaders and picked the cadre duo for interrogation.

In yet another development, the Centre on Wednesday has extended ban on NDFB, ULFA and HNLC for two more years. The decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the cabinet committee on security affairs chaired by prime minister Dr Manmohan Singh.
