Two young scientists Priyanka Das Rajkakati, Angaraj Duara through video conference addressed a group of local students at Guwahati on Tuesday. The event was organised by Women Engineers' Forum of Assam to celebrate International Day for Women and Girls in Science. Students and teachers from Maria's Public School, University of Science and Technology, Meghalaya, Assam Engineering College and other institutions attended the event.

Priyanka said Space has no limitations and the professions that can come out of Space also can be limitless. Like there are Architects, Civil Engineers, Artists, Geologists, Material scientists, Food Technologists, Micro Biologists, Mechanical Engineers, Data Scientists etc. etc. One has to pursue her dream and keep options open. There can be improvisations in Space program like in the Mock Moon Base Priyanka used a bucket and mug to take bath and save water, which fellow Europeans could not imagine. Her Art Work will be sent to Moon in small cube forms. It costs about 1 Mn $ to send 1 Kg of weight to Moon. So it has to be miniaturized. Priyanka did experiments on a volcanic Island in Hawaii which looked which resembled Moon surface.
Priyanka will be joining 75 other Women Scientists from world over in Antarctica in December for Homeward bound Antirctica. She is currently pursuing a PhD program on increasing accuracy of GPS to 20 cm, which will have wide spread applications in driverless cars, other pricision applications.
