Gold Rush for press club screening
Guwahati: One of Charlie Chaplin's most celebrated works, The Gold Rush will be screened at Guwahati Press Club on Friday (28 September, starting at 5 pm). Produced and directed by Charlie Chaplin, the 1925 comedy film stars Chaplin, Georgia Hale, Mack Swain, Tom Murray, Henry Bergman and Malcolm Waite. Written and Edited by Chaplin himself, the silent era movie has cinematography by Roland Totheroh and music by Chaplin, Carli Elinor, Max Terr and James L Fields.
Media interaction: Prior to the film screening, an interactive session with Kashmiri journalist Haris Qadeer (editor of Daily Mujadala) will be organized at 3 pm in the press club auditorium.

Guwahati: Charlie Chaplin’s visual feast Modern Times will be screened at Guwahati Press Club on Saturday (21 July 2018). The American comedy film, produced in 1936 and written-directed by Chaplin, is scheduled for screening at press club auditorium by 4.30 pm. The movie stars Chaplin, Paulette Goddard, Henry Bergman, Tiny Sandford and Chester Conklin. It has music by Chaplin himself and cinematography by Ira Morgan.
