Ayushman Bharat launches in Hojai District
Hojai:-"Ayushman Bharat"- Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY)' deemed as the "worlds largest government funded healthcare programme" launched at Swarna Jayanti Bhawan in Hojai on Sunday, along with the rest of the Country.Deputy Commissioner of Hojai District Manvendra Pratap Singh,IAS along with Superintendent Of Police Hojai Ankur Jain,IPS formally presented "Ayushman Bharat" a historic step towards universal health coverage's Golden Card to 10 beneficiaries of Hojai. The beneficiaries names are as followsRanjit Roy (Ward No.1),Nurul Hussain (Ward No.19),Kamal Chakraborty (Ward No. 13),Suranjan Bhowal ( Ward No.10),Adhir Kuri (Ward No.10),Adhir Das (Ward No.3),Radheshyam Das (Ward No. 2),Ramayan Prasad Gupta (Ward No.4), Nikhil Banik (Ward No.1) and Rintu Das (Ward 17).The objective of the scheme was briefly explained by SDMO Dr. D Chetia Phukan.The live coverage from Jharkhand where Prime Minister Narendra Modi formally launched this historic scheme was shown by the Projector .Speaking on the occasion DC Manvendra Pratap Singh said," Ayushman Bharat is a scheme that aims to provide health assurance up to Rs 5 lakh cover per year."He termed it as historic and significant step in Health sector of Indian history.He appealed the mass gathering to share this information to each individual as much as possible and remember the helpline number of AB-PMJAY 14555." Hojai: The Hojai police in Doboka have seized a huge quantity of illicit foreign liquor during a raid at a few hotels on Wednesday. Led by DSP Binita Nath, a team of police raided the hotels on the roadside of National Highway No 36 at night in Jabrakhuwa and seized the foreign liquors illegally stored by the traders. HOJAI: Amid simmering shock and anger over sexual crimes across the nation two miscreants allegedly gangraped a girl in Hojai before being dumped on the National Highway No 54 on Wednesday. Local residents spotted the girl in dire straights in the morning who called up police and rushed her to the Nilbagan Model Hospital. According to information, two youths took away the girl from Samoguri in Nagaon district on Tuesday and gangraped at night and dumped her by the roadside. Hojai: Once again the power department has shown its utter inefficiency in Hojai where one person was electrocuted to death when workers were on repairing duty on Tuesday.
