Sonapur : One person has been killed and many injured when one bus and one truck collided at 8 pm on Tuesday at Sonapur near Guwahati in NH 37.
The person who has been killed has been identified as Dhal Chetri, Age 35 years. Many of the injured are in critical conditions and have been admitted to the Gauhati Medical College Hospital.
The critically injured people are Arun Vaidya of Sapekhati, Prakash Choudhury ( location unknown) . Sajad Ahmed of Bokakhat, Pranjit Dutta of Birubari in Guwahati, Daulat Singh and Mrs Pabitri Singh of Nepal.

ULFA Commander in Chief Paresh Baruah is understood to have been arrested in Bangladesh. But the Union home ministry has yet to confirm it. According to information, Paresh Barua apprehended by the Bangladeshi security agencies about two weeks back days as he was trying to cross over to Bangladesh via Myanmar border after visiting Chinese Yunnan province.
Barua was in Yunnan about four months ago after the Bangladeshi authorities launched a massive crackdown on anti-India insurgent groups.

The leader of an influential tribal militant leader of Assam is held by Bangladesh and handed over to Indian authority today, trusted media agencies of India have reported. Ranjan Daimary, the head of National Democratic Front of Bodoland (anti-talk faction) was arrested by Dhaka authority three days back, where he was hiding for many years.
