NEW DELHI: BJP central leadership is understood to have cleared the decks for the Assam cabinet expansion at the end of an hour long meeting between Amit Shah and Sarbananda Sonowal in New Delhi on Friday.
Senior party leaders who refused to be named told Assam Times that Shah and Sonowal finalized the induction of eight new members in the expended cabinet where three sitting ministers would be dropped.
Of the ten new faces AGP and BPF have one each while others are BJP legislators who are expected to take oath in a day or two.
Chief minister Sonowal, however, avoided the media persons, who were waiting outside the official residence if the BJP president.
