The police personel of the Dokmoka outpost on October 12, at around 6.45 am seized approximately 70 kg of ganja from a Diphu to Guwahati bound Karbi Anglong Autonomus Council (KAAC) bus. Police also arrested three persons, identified as Wilto Miju (17), Robert Mizu (32),both hails from Rengkai district of Manipur and Kishore Kumar Singh (40) of Imphal, in this connection. The team of police was lead by Khargeswar Bordoloi, in-charge of Dokmoka outpost.
In a statement issued by the Central Commitee of Hindu Yuva Shatra Parishad over Osama Bin Laden's threat to Assam, the Parishad's president Brajen Kakati said here in Nagaon on November 6 that they would never let Laden to make Assam an Islamic state and come his dream true in such matters. He said that Hindu Yuva Shatra Parishad is ever ready to combat with such type of threat and Parishad regards this threat as Laden's far cry.He further critisized the active participation of ten Members of Legislative Assembly and two MPs of Assam with ISI and demands the government to take immediate action against them and the people of Assam to recognize these unpatriotic men as well.
