In Assam, Power Maddens

It is amusing to see note that Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thinks that the NDFB has hoisted Pakistani flag in Udalguri. I hope he knows that as soon as this act was done, the flag hoisting was reported in Pakistani media. This proves that the Muslim terrorists have an organised network from Assam to Pakistan. And the ministers of Assam are always there to cover up their crimes because of vote-bank politics.

No one should dare to blame the native tribals. Our Bodo brothers have not set up villge after village in Bangladesh. It is the Bangladehis who have swarmed all our forests and fields. The state govt as well as the central govt should very well know that.

The govt wants to blame NDFB for everything, but not itself for allowing illegal migrants to settle and murder the natives. Blaming militants for everything is the easiest thing, but let me tell you that the first attack was from immigrant Muslims. It was well planned. It started just after they celebrated their festival in peace. They were planning for 'Jihad' after Id and disrupted Puja celebrations by the ethnic cleansing of the native tribals.

Morever, the remarks of CM Tarun Gogoi are weird. When he says that it is the flag of Id, this can be the greatest joke in the present times.

We can only request our hopeless ministers to keep their mouth shut or use the words "No comments" when they have nothing useful to say in such situations. They only make clowns of themselves by speaking out such ridiculous comments.

We all know of the proverb, "Power Corrupts". In Assam, we can add another proverb for the likes of Gogoi and Sarma, "POWER MADDENS". Assamese politicians have been rendered mad by political power.

Minor girls from Assam rescued in Delhi

Police rescued eight minor girls from placement agencies allegedly involved in human trafficking during a raid in Delhi. Altogether 4 persons, including a woman, have been arrested in this connection. The arrested have been identified as Ravinder Yadav, Pradeep Toppo, Vimal Kerketta and Babita. Watery grave in money fishing

A 20 year old youth met watery grave when he was fishing out money at a waterbody body in Guwahati on Tuesday. The tragic incident took place when he joined scores of people who landed in the waterbody to collect currency notes that were found floating on the water on Monday. The youth dived into the Silsako Beel in the morning along with some other eager beavers to look for and pocket the currency notes floating on the water. Money on fishnet in Guwahati water body

Believe it or not. Fishermen at a water body in Guwahati catched lakhs of rupees on Monday. The strange incident took place at Chasal in the afternoon when a fisherman came to see a bundle of notes of Rs 1000 demonition on his net. Others also started looking for money under the water and accordingly got hundreds of rupees. Flood threatens to wash out Kaziranga

Kaziranga National Park is reeling under devastating flood wave forcing the birds and animals to leave the famed site. Animals from the world heritage site is moving to highlands. Ensure 500-bedded hospital early: AASU

The All Assam Students' Union has asked Dispur to ensure the construction of the proposed 500-bed hospital in Sivasagar at an earlier date. ‘Critical’ poet Hiru-da battling for life

The condition of the renowned Assamese poet Hiren Bhattacharjya refuses to improve. But experts from Delhi and Kolkata are providing the best possible treatment at the Dispur Hospital where he has been undergoing treatment for the last couple of days. Biodiversity train on 4 days visit to Guwahati

The Science Express-Biodiversity Special train of the Union ministry of environment and forest arrived at Kamakhya railway junction in Guwahati on Saturday. The special train was inaugurated jointly by the mission director of Sarva Sikhsha Abhijan, L S Changsang and N F Railways general manager R S Virdi. Eight of the coaches are dedicated to showcasing the biodiversity of the northeast, trans-Himalaya and Himalayas, Gangetic plain, desert and semi-arid zone, western ghat, Deccan peninsula, coasts and islands. The other coaches exhibit climate change, energy, water conservation and petroleum among the other branches of science. The train will be here for four days.

Mid air mishap averted in Guwahati

Yet another mid air mishap was averted in Guwahati on Saturday. An Indian Air Force aircraft on Saturday made a 'delayed landing' at the Lokpriyo Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport. But according to defence sources, there was no technical problem in the craft. The IL-76 'Gajraj' aircraft, flying to Delhi from Bangalore via Guwahati, developed "certain problems mid-air and made a delayed landing as necessary arrangements were made on the ground in case there was emergency. The aircraft circled over the airport for nearly two hours before landing. Airport Authority of India made the arrangements for the landing and to deal with any emergency.
