Gold biscuits seized in Guwahati airport

GUWAHATI: Security forces seized gold weighing nearly 1 KG from a person at the Lokoriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport on Friday.

Acting on a tip off, the CISF jawans raided Ankush Chetti who was preparing to depart the city to New Delhi by the IndiGo flight in the morning.

When thoroughly checked, the gold biscuits worth ₹30 lakh was discovered in his rectum. He was arrested and the biscuits were recovered at the Guwahati Medical College Hospital.

Two days back another person was arrested from the airport as he was preparing to board on a New Delhi bound flight.
