The National Democratic Front of Bodoland is stick to the demand for a separate Bodoland if general secretary of the Bodo outfit Govinda Basumatary is to be believed.
Talking to a private TV news channel, the Bodo militant outfit said its as simple as that they will not drop the demand and also carry forward the peace process with the Centre. Basumatary said the they have not made this announcement while they were holding talks with the Centre on September 30 and that it was the Centre which stressed the need to expedite the peace process.
Basumatary said he was aware of the reports in a section of media that NDFB has dropped the sovereignty question and was quick to term it a conspiracy. He hoped that a political solution to the 22-year long political struggle for a separate Bodoland will be possible.
The Bodo insurgent outfit signed a ceasefire pact with the government three years ago. Since then, the Centre has extended the ceasefire term for several times and has been trying to wash its hands off. On September 30, it was extended for another period of three months. The outfit observed its 22nd raising Day at the designated camp at Borbori.

Dear Sir,
Its in need for everyone of Bodo community to look back to there history and go forward. From the time immemorial we the great Bodo communiy has been dominated by other people like Assamesse.History tells that we had our own king and kingdom. We had our ouw state. Therefore it is our right to fight to get back our lost world. Bodoland is not only for NDFBs. NDFB alone can't bring land if they lack mass support. Its time for we common people to think and decide for our ouw future. Things are going on changing. Everything will be impossible if we are not aware of the present demand. Gun alone can't do anything. Though the NDFB's are in ceasefire for about last three years it seems meaningless without any progress. If they want a real success of their job they must have to be more active in doing every. Let them remaimber the proverb "Everything is realy difficult before it comes to be easy".
With love and respect

Hi Guys,
With repect to the comments of Ananta Swargiary and L Boro(myself being Bodo find difficult to spell n write the name L Boro,SORRY),i dont agree and totally disagree which is meaningless point. No one is dominating any community.Every community have equal rights to develop, there are lots of bodo and other tribals who are doing well economically and socially. If one cant stand on ones foot no one will pull to stand. To say correctly as Ananta mentioned about bodo kingdom, can u point out which part was ruled by bodos??Whole assam and parts of West Bengal & bangladesh have bodo communities.if u want separate state demand for whole region.
From my knowledge,NDFB is basically supported by christian missionaries and want to curve out region like nagaland,Meghalaya for spreading christianity.
To L Boro, what identity u want??Do u think having separate state will preserve your identity. No one is forcing on bodos to change identity at gunpoint??Instead of destructive thought, think of constuctive to develop the bodo community.

Congratulations to Shweta Swargiary...
This is what is called the 21st century thinking. This is what is called being Cosmopolitan in Thinking. Unfortunately, in North East India, cosmopolitanism and modernity lies only in the clothes or branded dresses and shoes and accessories.
Bodos should spread out all over Assam and neighbouring areas like the Ahoms did and are doing now. Why only Bodoland? Spread wings to the world...

Many people say manything about Bodo group organization but our target is only one that is to have a seperate state for bodos. All the organizations either BLT, NDFB, or ABSU, have the same goal but in different ideology.Today we have gone far away from that goal.MAny innocent people have lost their lives because of misunderstanding to whom they are fighting for? They lost their hope and aspirations. What was our main gaol? Our main demand was seprat state for bodos. What I would like to say here is all must work for the Bodo people, work for development of the bodos. Work without bloodshed with peacful means. Form a strong political party for Bodos. So that we can occupy many seats and have the power in goverment fortpolio then we can achieve our real goal.

Hi guys
I don't agree with shweta swargiary more or less.she/he don't know who was bodo.It is sure that no community is dominating but any one can say is assamese ia a community.Assamese is a language not a community.History say there is no assamese kingdom but their was bodo kingdom, ahom kingdom etc every has their own custom.if you ask me from where to where the bodo kingdom fall better it know that our bodo kingdom is still there in dimapur(nagaland).it shows who we are and Why we are fighting for and we should unite and become a strong political party
At last i want to say that long live bodo and our bodo religion bathou

When it comes to geo-politics, are 'children giving birth to their mothers' or 'mothers giving birth to children'....I wonder. Amusing, isn't it?
In the coming years, we will see the birth of newer mothers by 'children'.

I strongly disagree with Pallavi Barua. Who said so many funny things because Boro community is not a sub origin of Assamese people. Assam treats like step mother but we are not even step Children in reality. They came as foreigners invading our land. Thus they settled with us and ruled us. Anyway Bodoland state will be curved out of Assam either with terror or Peacefull process. Bodolkand will revive and nothing will stand our way.

Mr.Tony, are you threatening to disturb the peacefulness of Assam with your words? What more you want, Bodo language is recognised by Indian Constitution, you have Bodoland Territorial Council established under Sixth Schedule which extend over 3082 villages and the BTC has been given legislative powers over 40 subjects. Please stop threatening the integrity of Assam. By your words "Anyway Bodoland state will be curved out of Assam either with terror or Peacefull process" what are you trying to prove that you will not hesitate to shed innocent peoples blood.
