KOHIMA:Nagaland chief minister TR Zeliang has urged the investors to set up bamboo processing plant in the state in view of the plenty of raw materials.
In his address at the governing body meeting of the Nagaland Bamboo Development Authority, Zeliang said the north eastern state has huge potential for bamboo processing plants since 11 districts have registered good growth in bamboo plantation.
He said sending bamboo outside the state wont be viable since it is costly to transport the raw material from the remote areas. Hence, setting up bamboo plants in the state would be an ideal and lucrative initiative.
