BTC Bengali Youth Student’s Federation staged a 2.30 hour sit-in-dharna in front of DC office in Kokrajhar on Monday demanding steps yo stop of excess on the Hindu Bengali community in the name of D-voter issue.
Hundreds of students activists and Bengali speaking citizens with banner, placards participated the dharna and shouted slogans, on demand of early update of NRC in the in the state and stop of harassed of Hindu Bengalis peoples in the name of D-voters in the state.
The federation slammed state government for not initiating any measures to solve D-voters issue, which has been creating resented among Hindu Bengali citizens in the state.
A memorandum was submitted to Chief Minister of Assam through Kokrajhar Deputy Commissioner seeking problems and harassment melt out to the Hindu Bengalis of Assam and permanent solution of the citizenship of the Hindu Bengalis in the state.
