GUWAHATI: BTAD areas keep celebrating the victory of Angkushita Boro in the AIBA youth wold boxing championship in Guwahati on Sunday.

Since the 17 year old pugilist from Dhekiajuli was put in the ring at the packed Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Sarusajai in the evening people in large number in the BTAD areas came out to the street and as she emerged winner defeating her Russian rival they started the huge celebrating dancing, singing, feasting and bursting of firecrackers.

Minutes after she struck gold, BTAD chief Hagrama Mohilary announced ₹5lakh to the young pugilist congratulating her. Same message has come from ABSU president Pramod Boro, Rajya Sabha member UG Brahma.
