A special court in Guwahati on Thursday sent Ranjit Gogoi to jail three days after the publicity director was arrested by the chief minister's vigilance cell probing the ₹30 crore advertisement scam.
Ranjit Gigoi is learnt to have made many startling revelations hefore the investigators who have been interrogating him since he was sent to police remand in connection with ₹30 crore advertisement scam during the erstwhile Congress government.
Since the investigators did not seek Gogoi's custodial interrogation again, the special sent him to jail in the evening.
The special court in Guwahati on Tuesday remanded Gogoi to three days police custody to interrogate him in connection with the ₹30 crore advertisement scam.
The astronomical amount was siphoned off by a circle of powerful advertisement agencies aided and abetted by Gogoi himself towards the fag end of the erstwhile Congress government.
