NDFB(S) cadres nabbed

In a major achievement,Udalguri police and Army in a joint operation nabbed two hardcore NDFB(S) cadres from Mazbat area of Udalguri on Friday. The duo are prime accused in the 2014 Adivasi killings in Sonitpur district. The apprehended have been identified as Jahan Mochshary @ Jiskel Mochsahary (30) and Jourwn Daimari(30) . Jahan is a 35th batch NDFB cadre and reportedly in most wanted list of by National Investigation Agency vide case RC-04/2014/NIA-GUW. The police are interrogating the rebels at Udalguri PS.

UDALGURI: The fake note racket still remains active in the state even after strict vigil across the state. The Udalguri police claimed to have busted a major fake currency note printing racket from Azara of Guwahati and arrested five persons recently who in their confessional statements have revealed some stunning information. . Two workers held on molestation charge

UDALGURI: A local court in Paneri sent to youths to jail on Wednesday a day after the duo allegedly molested two College girls. According to allegations, the incident took place in Panery beside the Kulsi river where the victims halted for a while one of them was troubled by the bicycle on the way back to the home from college. Broad day light theft cases in Udalguri

UDALGURI,March 21: Two sensational incidents of broad daylight burglary rattled Udalguri on Wednesday. In the first incident, two thieves  lifted a bag containing cash amount of Rs.36,000 from the LIC Satellite Office of Harisinga area in Udaguri which belonged to Narayan  Das. In another case, two miscreants robbed Chandra Kanta Kumar was robbed by two people in broad daylight near the Udalguri market. It took place as Kumar came out from a bank withdrawing his salary amount of Rs 25,000.
