NDFB celebrates Raising Day



The National Democratic Front of Boroland (NDFB) celebrated its 31st Foundation Day at various places in the state on Tuesday marking the glorious steps on their struggled seeking Bodoland statehood.
The NDFB -Progressive celebrates  31st Raising Day at various designated camps at Serfanguri in Kokrajhar, Barbari of Baksa and Sapekhaiti of Udalguri district.
The NDFB was founded on today's day in 1986 at Odla Kashibari in Udalguri and took arms struggled seeking Bodoland homeland.
M Gerema, Home Secretary, Dhiren Boro, president and Gavinda Basumatary, General Secretary of the militant outfit attended at Serfanguri, Kokrajhar,Sapekhaiti of Udalguri and Barbari of Baksa district respectively.
Ranjan Daimary faction of NDFB celebrated the foundation day at Sonai in Udalguri district. Ranjan Daimary (DR Nabla),founder chairman of the NDFB hoisted organisation flag followed floral tribute to martyrs.
The anti-talk faction of the NDFB les by Saoraigwra celebrated the day at an undisclosed location out of India and recalled three decades journey on thor struggling step to the caused Boroland sovereign.
Saoraigwra reiterated the Boroland sovereign to make great Boro nation with dignity,determination and integrity in the world.
The NDFB-P has been ceasefire with government since 2005 and till date no fruitful talks was held over NDFB issue and Bodoland state demand. The NDFB-P demanded early solution of the Bodoland statehood issue through political dialogue.
At Serfanguri, B Sudem,Judicial Secretary of the NDFB-P hoisted organisational flag in the morning. An open session was organised on the occasion in which former MP MP and UPPL president Urkhao Gwra Brahma graced as chief guest on the occasion.
Brahma urged the government to solve the NDFB issue and Bodoland statehood demand through political dialogue. He has congratualated to the outfit organisation leader and members on its raising day.
Lawrence Islary, ABSU GS,Rwngwra Narzary, BTC MCLA were prominent attendees on the occasion.
R Daokha, assistant publicity secretary of the NDFB-P said that the government has been tactically delayed the issue of Bodoland statehood and NDFB issue. He said that although the ceasefire wira government passed 12 years, yet no fruitful result reached. He has alleged that the BJP paru has failed to fulfil promised put during the 2014 elections to solve the Bodos issue and demands.'We hoped that BJP led NDA government will make solutions of the Bodoland issue.The NDA reign passed three years,but Boroland issue and demand remained unsolved', Daokha said.
He has warned to take democratic mass movement in support of Boroland statehood in coming days if their demands are not meet solved.
Daokha also said nearly 3000 cadre and members of the organisations sacrifice their lives since formation.He has urged the government to make information public whereabout missing over 20 leader and members of the organisation in the 2003 Bhutan all clear operation.

Kokrajhar, May 2:  A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district. KOKRAHAR: A sense of alarm has gripped the Jharbari area after a timber smuggler was discovered dead in a firing incident during the early hours of the morning in Kokrajhar. The incident occurred along ride no. 1 under the Jharbari range of the Haltugaon forest division in Kokrajhar district, where the smuggler was fatally shot while transporting logs on a cycle from deep within the forest.
