Why non Garo teachers in Garo areas!

The All A'chik Youth Federation Assam State Zone (AAYF ASZ) is unhappy with the Assam government for not recruiting teachers in LP School for the Garo Medium LP School.

In a statement sent to media on Monday, the organization slammed the government for recruitment of non Garo teachers in the Garo medium schools.

“How they will teach Garo students at the Garo medium LP Schools if the teachers donot know the language?We have requested education minister Dr. Himanta Bishwa Sharma to evict the non Garo teachers from the Garo Medium LP Schools who even cannot speak or explain Garo language properly.

Notably, the government has recruited many non Garo teachers in the Garo dominated areas in Goalpara and Kamrup districts.

“The problem has been existing for the last 20 years. Now it is time to act properly. This way, Garo language can’t be preserved or promote,” said the organization.
