Eid ud Juha in BTAD

The holy Eid-uj-Juha was celebrated in various Idgha maidan in four BTAD districts with festive fervor along with rest of the state on Saturday. Islam religion followers come out with new dresses in the morning at Idgha grounds on the day to offer their prayers. 

In Kokrajhar district, the holy day was celebrated at different Idgha maidans making festive mood as Islam followers thronged at Idgha grounds to offer prayer and Namaj. 

Hagrama Mohilary, BTC chief participated at the Monakocha Idgha ground in Kokrajhar district. 

 Mohilary along with Islam followers offered Namaj on the occasion. He wished a happy Eid uj Juha to the Islam followers and common masses in the state.
Mohilary expresses his hope that the Namaj will bring unity and integrity among all sections of communities in the region. 

'I am very much lucky to be part on the holy Eid ud Juha', Mohilary said. He said that peace and unity must be restored in the region to gain development and prosperity.

The Eid-uj-Juha was also celebrated at different places in Chirang, Baksa and Udalguri districts. 

Islam devotee and followers offered their Namaj and worship to the almighty Allah on the holy day of Eid uj Juha. 

'It is a day of offering Namaj for bringing peace and unity among all sections of communities. We prayed to the almighty Allah for unity a day integrity', said an Islam follower in Kokrajhar. 

'Allah, who is the only owner of all creation, has power of building integrity and unity across the world . We (human beings) offer prayer and Namaj for him on the occasion to get healthy living', said an Immam on the Eid-uj-Juha celebration.

Road mishap kill 2 in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR: Two people were killed on the spot in a late-night road accident in Balajan Pakriguri under Kokrajhar police station. According to police, two people were travelling on a bike and met with mishaps that claimed two people on the spot at a roadside parking dumper in Pakriguri along JD Road late at night around 2.15 am on Tuesday night under Kokrajhar police station. Badminton Championship Concludes

Kokrajhar: The first ever edition of the All Assam Prize Money Non-Ranking Badminton Championship-2021 concluded on Tuesday after a two-day programme was scheduled to be held at the indoor stadium of the Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) in Kokrajhar district. Lightning kills 3 in Chirang

At least three persons died and several others received injuries due to the lightning struck at Anthaibari under Bengtol police outpost in Chirang district on Wednesday afternoon. According to the source, three persons have died and several other people from Anthaibari area received serious injuries due to heavy lightning this afternoon while people were watching a football match at Anthaibari playground. Kokrajhar Planetarium and Science Centre has been disconnected from electricity supply due to non payment of bills

Electricity to the Kokrajhar Planetarium and Science center was cut off because there's an outstanding bill of 1.83 lakh. Due to power cutoff, the Kokrajhar Planetarium and Science centre is currently not functional. Police launched crackdown on NLFB

Police administration have vowed for a strict operation against NLFB in Kokrajhar district as NIA has so far circulated most wanted and head count Rs. 10 lakh against the leader of NLFB M Batha. The superintendent of police, Prateek Thube told that the police has started its search operation against the NLFB militant organization along the India-Bhutan border areas of Kokrajhar district. Various parties and citizens of Kokrajhar, including CPI-M, have criticized the Budget presented in the ongoing Budget Assembly session on Friday by Finance minister Ajanta Neog for 2021-22 financial year.
