The Kokrajhar Government College observed its 59th foundation day with day long programme scheduled at College conference hall on Wednesday.
BTC deputy chief Khampa Borgayari attended thr function as chief guest who lit the lamp to inaugurate the function. It marks the opening of three Post Graduate (PG) classes in the college. The PG course’s subjects are English, Chemistry and Mathematics which have capacities of 30, 15 and 10 respectively.
Borgoyary, who is also executive member of Education department, has been stressed the need to evolve a comprehensive education policy for the backward BTC region keeping in mind the increasing number of students and the need for quality.
Earlier in the morning, Dr. Binoy Kumar Brahma, principal of the college hoisted the College flag at the outset in the presence of a large gathering consisting of students, faculty members, office staff, guardians, local people and several dignitaries from Bodoland University.
