Kuhili Saha won Bodoland Dancing Star contest

Kuhili Saha of Guwahati won the second edition of the Bodoland Dancing Star contest-2017 grand finale that was held on Sunday eveninh at Bodofa Cultural Complex in Kokrajhar.

The Bodoland Dancing Star 2017, a dance competition among talented budding dancers,was organized by Bodoland Dance Floor & Film Society for the region, received huge applause from audience and viewers.

A total 110 dancers from various parts of the Bodoland as well lower Assam districts  participated the dancing arena and 14 were entered grand finalist round. In the grand finale,five of 14 were forwarded to contest face to face with music where Kuhili Saha of Guwahati won the contest defeating Akashdeep Baruah of Dhemaji. Saha presented her  best dancing performances which attracted viewers minds.

Akashdeep Baruah of Dhemaji and Debangshi Bordoloi of Azara(Guwahati) were adjusted first  and second runners up in the finale respectively.

Anto George,noted dance expert from Malayesia and Proneeta Swargiyary,DID winner graced as judges on the grand finale.

Biswajit Mushahary,propietor of Hills Dew mineral water handed over cash 50,000,certificate and gifts to Kuhili Saha winner of the contest.Diganta Basumatary,social worker  and Neeta Basumatary,social worker handed over cash 20,000 and 10,000,certificate and gifts to the first and second runners up respectively.

Anto George attending function as judge  said that the dancing competition organised by the society will create dancing superstars among society in the region.This is a good initiation for the society that will nurture to the budding dancers in the region as well country in coming days.

'It is a lauded initiative from the society by organizing such a dancing arena which would encourage the budding dancing talents to take more spirits', Anto said.

Proneeta Swargiyary said the dancing competition is a process to hunt dancing talents in the region. ‘We must bring dancing arena environment among our generation so that they can gain their laerning spirits’,she said.

Dilip Narzary,chairman of the society told that the contest was organised to hunt dancing talents in the region.The auditions were conducted at different districts in the state where contestants presented their dancing talents.

‘During the grand finale grand finalists showcased their level best performnace which had created amusement among viewers’. ‘We received good response from the dancers as well publics.There were 110 participants participated in the contest and presented their best dancing talents in various rounds of the contest’,he added.

Kokrajhar, May 2:  A search operation that began yesterday evening concluded today with the recovery of three bodies from the Beki River near Manas National Park in Baksa district. The three youths, identified as Deep Saha, Raj Saha, and Abhijit Karmakar, all from Barpeta Road, reportedly went missing after entering the river for a swim on Wednesday evening.
