Will BJP-BPF honeymoon end?

An escalating war of words between BJP and BPF leaders starts posing a serious threat to the one year old Sarbanabda Sonowal government. Both the parties have no dearth of issues to take on each other which is bound to embitter the alliance they struck last year.

BPF president Hagrama Mohilary has accused the BJP leaders of threatening him and his party of an impending defeat if BJP is not allowed to take a deep grip in BTAD areas.

Talking to a television channel in Guwahati very recently, the regional political party boss called BJP a “dangerous” one. “Yes, it was a direct threaten to us. They told me that if BJP refuses to help us, we would have to pay heavy price in the 2019 general election,” said the BTC chief.

“They have threaten me. I am afraid of BJP. BJP us very dangerous these days. What I need to do is to move the people. Should I surrender?” said Mohilary with a lighter vain.

He said under no circumstance BPF will leave the Kokrajhar seat in the next Lok Sabha polls. “Why we will leave it to BJP.No parley is necessary. We won't, he said.

He further accused a section of BJP leaders of collecting cash in BTAD areas promising house to the people under the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme.

Hagrama simply said, “I don’t know what is called corruption. But these people keep collecting cash. I complained it to the state party president to stop it. And these people have accused us of pocketing money and doing not well.”

State BJP leadership have asked Mohilary and BPF in rank and file to help BJP strengthen its base in BTAD areas where they struck alliance in the pre poll scene.
