AGP top guns meets to discuss unification issue

The main Opposition Asom Gana Parishad is holding a crucial meeting in the city of Guwahati on Tuesday to clear the road for unification of the regional forces. According to information the executive meeting will discuss in detail the report being tabled by the party's unification panel headed by working president Phani Bhushan Chaudhory. But the senior leaders who wish not to be named said the panel report has nothing such that can ensure unification of the regional panel.
AASU has already opposed entry of former Chief Minister Prafulla Kumar Mahanta calling him a secret killer and a damn betrayer. Also, party president Brindabon Goswami has been reportedly averse to unification.
