ULFA-I rebel killed in encounter!

Security forces  claimed to have shot dead a hardcore ULFA-I rebel at an encounter in Dibrugarh district on Tuesday.

According to army, a group of rebels who were hiding at a house in Rongpuria village in Kakopothar targetted an army vehicle with firing.

The army jawans who were travelling on the vehicle retaliated where the encounter took place. One of the rebels who initially sustained injury died later. Others managed to flee from the spot.

Later security forces arrived in the spot and launched a joint operation in search of the rebels.
