Peace keeping team reaches in Assam

A three members' team of peace keeping from Swasth Bharat Trust, Delhi reached in Kokrajhar of Assam on Monday, who crossed 12,000 km crossing 17 states, was started from January 30 last from Rajghat Delhi

 The team was led by Ashutush Kumar Singh; chairman of Swasth Bharat Trust, was accompanied with Prasun Latant, senior journalist and Vinod Rohilla, noted social activist. The team was accorded warm welcome by Gandhi Shanti Sangha, Kokrajhar.

 The team has started its tour on January 30 from Rajghat in Delhi and today crossed 17 states across the country that passed 12,000 kilometers on its tour. The team has emphasized for bringing healthy welfare of girl child, women empowerment through involving awareness camps.The team also hold an awareness camp at Haijraiguri LP school in Kokrajhar on Monday where guardian, students participated. The team will conclude its yatra on April 15 next in Northeastern state.

Singh talking exclusively with this correspondent in Kokrajhar said that they(the team) have so far crossed 17 states which have been eying strong health of girl child and women among society in the country. He said their vision of tour is bringing of awareness and unity, especially child, health and good environment across the country.

He said that the team is holding meeting and awareness camp at different college and schools covering 90 educational institutions during their visits that they crossed states. Singh said that we must bring awareness to bring welfare and empowerment of girls among society so that they could get healthy situation in the country.
