A group of dreaded ULFA-I rebels is believed have been hiding in the city of Guwahati forcing police to remain alert these days.
According to confidential inputs, these rebels who have managed to sneak into the premier city might strike in any form at the instance of commander in chief Paresh Barua.
Security forces have started a massive checking in the vehicles in the nook and corner of the city.
Even the roadside dustbins are not spared apprehending dumping of explosive devices which would unless terror at any moment.
Police and para military forces have been concentrating on the entry and exit points of the city along with the river routes. Equally, the hills areas surrounding the city are also under close vigil.
