Schools and colleges, clubs and institutions dressing afresh on the occasion. Dressed in traditional attire, the students thronged the puja pendals to offer puja to appease the goddess of learning.

Many schools and colleges are holding, drawing, debating and quiz competition apart from holding cultural functions to mark the occasion.
