NDFB link man arrested

Security forces belonging to police and army apprehended a linkman of NDFB (S) from Dhanpur area under Kachugaon PS in Kokrajhar district early this morning. Based on information about moving activity of link man,security forces conducted a search operation in the area and a link man of the NDFB(S) was arrested. He was identified as Khanda Basumatary(Bestw),was involved with numerous extortion, money collection in the area. A country made riffle and live bullet was recovered from him.

  KOKRAJHAR: The Bodoland People's Front's (BPF) elected member's numbers have been reduced to 4 from 12 in the assembly elections across the four districts of Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR). BPF won only four of the 12 contesting constituencies including two each constituencies in Kokrajhar and Udalguri district.
